It's been gradual, but I am becoming resigned to accept the future for what it offers us. The unknown is always makes us apprehensive, But God's Spirit abides with us and whispers peace be still. I have grown to love everyone at Calvary, without exception. This doesn't mean we've always agreed or got along. Every family, church families included, have their rifts from time to time, but Jesus tells us to go to each other and make things right, before time slips into the future.
There is nothing that the Body of Christ can't handle. When you think of the martyrs and those who were persecuted for their faith, our modern conflicts are nothing in comparison. Paul tells us in Romans 8:39, "No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. God calls us to be one in the Spirit so we can fulfill the call of Christ on our lives.
I am confident that in the final analysis, that Calvary will be whole and remain whole in the years to come. May we pick up the baton and carry on for the sake of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
