YESTERDAY we forgot to mention the terrible attacks across the city of Paris. The president of Paris is severely cracking down on security by temporarily closing the borders to prevent future possible attacks.
Along with other national leaders, our own President Obama is frustrated by the terror perpetrated by the Islamic State, because there is no real way to second guess their next moves.
The Apostle James writes that TRUE religion is to care for orphans and widows, not blow them up. This is why I reject the extremist sect of Islam called ISIS. But before we condemn one religious group, let us remember there are Christian, Jewish, and Hindu extremist out there committing heinous acts of terror.
And less anyone would want to blame mainline Islam, remember, that ISIS has killed over 200,000 Muslims in the past two years. I hope that the world won't blame all of Christianity because of the Westboro Baptist Church or the KKK (both Christian organizations).
An answer to this global dilemma is to promote more education, more religious instruction and more public awareness about proper human relations. Governments must lead the way in caring for the helpless, the sick, the elderly and veterans. This is an example of how we should treat people at risk.
Pray for Paris, but don't forget Damascus, Mosul, Tripoli and Cairo who are among the cities who are being ravaged by terror this morning. Pray for peace, but most of all may we be agents of peace wherever we are.
